| Unleash Your Potential with NAAAP Philadelphia’s “Transcending Career Paths” |

The economic stimulus bill will provide resources across three main areas: business, government, and the nonprofit sector. While many nonprofits are in desperate need of sustained/additional resources to continue their missions, many people who had jobs in the private sector have found themselves out of work or at a crossroads in their career. Professionals who never planned on working in the non-profit sector may not even realize how much these industries could benefit from their professional experience.
NAAAP Philadelphia is proud to partner with International House Philadelphia, Philadelphia Young Non-Profit Leaders, and The Philadelphia Foundation to provide a unique opportunity to engage with individuals with an interest in non-profit work. Whether you currently work for a non-profit, are interested in transitioning careers, or would like to apply your skills to the non-profit sector, this event is designed for you. This is the latest installment of NAAAP Philadelphia’s Leadership Series, which provides a forum for Asian American leaders to share their personal experiences and professional wisdom with the greater community.
Career Training Focus Groups: 6:00pm-6:30pm
The night will kick off with career training focus groups facilitated by members of NAAAP Philadelphia and Philadelphia Young Non-Profit Leaders (PYNL). This RSVP-only portion of the event will allow participants to engage with one another, while focusing on how they can help address challenges currently facing Philadelphia non-profits.
"Transcending Career Paths" Panel: 6:45pm-7:30pm
During this session, panelists will share their diverse experiences with the non-profit sector. From longtime Board Member to current non-profit professional, the panelists will provide insight on how you can transcend your career path and contribute to the non-profit sector.
Philadelphia Non-Profit Networking: 7:30pm-9:00pm
We'll wrap the night up with a trade show featuring a diverse array of Philadelphia area non-profits. Organizations will highlight opportunities as volunteers, employees, or consultants.
NOTE: Due to the format of this event, participants are encouraged to adhere to the start times of each session.
Light refreshments will be provided.
