This year, NAAAP Philadelphia awarded our first scholarship program, honoring 4 college students and 1 high school student with $1,000 scholarships each. After reviewing all applicants' written applications which included 2 essays and 2 recommendation letters, a pool of judges selected finalists to be interviewed in a group setting by all judges. In all, 12 finalists were chosen and given 1 year student memberships to NAAAP Philly and 5 students received scholarships. Please join NAAAP Philly in recognizing the achievements of:
Janice Dow - University of Pennsylvania
Julian Kam - Charter School of Wilmington
Xiao Juan Ke - Temple University
Jennifer Nguyen - Villanova University
Lan Nguyen - Drexel University
We wish all winners and finalists the best of luck in their collegiate studies. Thank you to all members who helped us publicize our inaugural scholarship program. Because of its success, we hope to reward and recognize more students next year!
