Mang Chang
Mang Chang moved to Philadelphia to attend the University of Pennsylvania for her Master of Social Work in 2008. Her interest in Social Work focuses on race relations, education, program development, and evaluation.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Appalachian State University with her Bachelor of Social Work. During her time at Appalachian State University, she served as the Director of Academic Affairs. As Director of Academic Affairs she extended library hours and helped establish a 24 hr zone within the university library. Mang spent a summer in Washington DC interning for the Hmong National Development, Inc. where she focused on policy and community development for Hmong communities on a national scale.
Mang developed the curriculum for the BBBS-NAAAP Philly Prodigy Program in 2009. The Prodigy Program is a mentoring and leadership program focused on 10 students at JH Taggart Elementary School.
Lori Chen
Lori is a Financial Advisor at PNC Investment, a division of PNC Financial Services, which is the fifth largest bank by deposits in the United States. She delivers comprehensive financial solutions and provides wealth management tools to the clients. She specializes in planning for business owners, successful individuals and families. She has Series 7 & 66, and she is working on her CFP designation.
Lori Co-founded NAAAP Philadelphia in 2004. Currently, she serves as the President of NAAAP Philadelphia.
Lori has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Marketing from DeSales University and a Master’s of Business Administration Degree in Marketing from La Salle University. In her spare time, she devotes lots of energy to non-profit organizations in the Philadelphia area. She is on the Advisory Board of the Asian American Women’s Coalition, promoting the advancement of Asian American women through leadership and mutual support. She also serves on the Advisory Panel of Families with Children from China, Delaware Valley Chapter, focusing on culture, language, mentoring, and identity issues. In addition, she is on the diversity committee of the American Red Cross (Penn Jersey Region) and Asian advisory committee of the American Cancer Society (PA Division Southeast Region). Lastly, she is a member of the Community Advisory Council at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, Lori moved to the US in 1995. She travels frequently between the US and Taiwan to spend time with family and friends. Lori’s hobbies include playing a variety of sports such as volleyball, swimming, and working out at the gym. She also enjoys reading, dining out, traveling, and simply spending quality time with loved ones.
Ying Chen
Ying Chen graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Biology. During that time, he was also on the board of the University's Asian Students Association as a Public Relations Officer, and a student employee in the Student Multimedia Design Center. He has held an internship in IT at a local business, and also one in marketing for JPMorgan Chase.
Currently, Ying is a Marketing Associate/Analyst at JPMorgan Chase, within the rotational leadership development program.
With a background in Marketing, Graphic Design, and Public Relations, Ying is looking forward to help develop and serve the member base of NAAAP Philly. His goal is to maximize the NAAAP member experience for its new and current members at every point of interaction, so that they can get the most out of their time with the organization.

Vincent Chin
Vincent is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. While there, he majored in Computer Science and Finance and leveraged the combination of those two disciplines into a career as a proprietary trader-programmer (also known as a quant) in the financial industry. He is currently proprietor of an independent equities-based trading fund, and manages NAAAP Philadelphia's technology-related issues.
Tom Fung
Tom is currently a Process Development Consultant at the Rutgers Food Innovation Center, Bridgeton, NJ; a unit of the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station at Rutgers University, a unique business incubation and economic development accelerator program. Tom is also an adjunct faculty at Philadelphia University; teaching supply chain management, and participated in Short Study Abroad Program to Shanghai, Shenzhen & Hong Kong, China.
Tom completed 29 years of service with the Campbell Soup Company. Formerly as Director of Operations for North American Foodservice Division, Tom managed all aspects of the supply chain, with direct impact to profit and loss. He was a key liaison between product development and marketing with over 30 manufacturing plants in North America, supporting product commercialization, capital budgeting, technology assessment, and lean manufacturing. Tom has held positions of increasing responsibility within various corporate functions: Process Engineering, Strategic Planning, and Global Operations; as well as overseas assignments in England, Japan and South Korea. Tom has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; MBA from Temple Fox School, and MS in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. He serves on the Temple University CIBER Advisory Board (http://www.fox.temple.edu/ciber/board.htm) since 2003.
Tom’s vision for NAAAP Philadelphia is promoting inclusion and innovation. "No matter who you are, you're going to have to work with people who are different from you. You're going to have to sell to people who are different from you, and buy from people who are different from you, and manage people who are different from you . . . ." Inclusion is not the mother of invention, but rather the catalyst for innovations; diversity is a fundamental business strategy. Innovation is a process that involves teamwork and continuous collaboration through social interactions. The more diverse of a team being built, the higher the probability of success. NAAAP Philadelphia can provide such a platform for all us to grow, both professionally and interpersonally. “None of us is as smart as all of us.”
George Ho
George is originally from Central NJ, doing his graduate and undergraduate work at Rutgers University with a Master's Degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. He now works as a research scientist at Johnson & Johnson in their rigorous Drug Discovery program. Being new to the Philadelphia Area, George joined NAAAP in early 2008 seeking to build a rich diverse network of Asian peers. He quickly became involved with the Sports & Social committee and began organizing and coordinating sporting and social events. This gave members a chance to interact and network in a less formal atmosphere and generated opportunities for members to create memorable experiences together. His play hard, work hard style and charmingly disarming attitude makes him quite a character on the team. As events coordinator, George will interface with all the VPs to ensure everyone delivers exciting new programs and events. He will also oversee the development and employment of online tools, ie Facebook and Meetup. In his off time, George enjoys snowboarding, vegetating with Video Games, eating like a crazed hyena, and talking/typing about himself.
Hyun Kim
Hyun is an Account Manager at StarCite, Inc. In 2004, Hyun was recruited to join the Philadelphia chapter of National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP). In 2005, she was asked to join the Board and serve as the Membership Committee Chair. In 2006, Hyun co-chaired the NAAAP National Retreat held in Philadelphia. In 2008, Hyun served as the National Representative of NAAAP Philadelphia, and in 2009, she served as the Vice President of Corporate Relations. Currently, Hyun serves as the Executive Vice President of NAAAP Philadelphia.
Hyun has also served on the boards of: Asian American Women’s Coalition (AAWC) from 2004 – 2008, Asian Arts Initiative (AAI) from 2006 – 2007, Young Friends of the Philadelphia Museum of Art from 2006 - 2008, and Philadelphia Cultural Fund from 2007 - now.
Hyun has always volunteered with her church growing up and often organizes events and community efforts at her church. She has participated in Habitat for Humanity in South Korea in summer of 2001 and in New Orleans, LA in summer of 2008. In 2006, Hyun was an Emerging Leader Finalist for eWomenNetwork Foundation.
Joseph Kim
Joe is a full time REALTOR® in the state of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In PA, he hangs his license at Century 21 Target Realty, which specializes in the Asian market throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area with offices located in South Philly and Northeast Philly. He is with Century 21 Alliance in the Cherry Hill office. C21 Alliance has eleven offices dispersed throughout South Jersey. Joe started in his career as a business broker and loan officer. With this string of experience, he is able to offer his clients a broad range of service and provides valuable advice and insight into the residential and commercial markets.
In 2004, Joe co-founded the National Association of Asian American Professionals- Philadelphia (NAAAP Philly) and currently serves as Board Member. His dedication to the Asian community is evident in his continuous involvement since high school as a volunteer tutor to Korean immigrant students in English and Math. Since then, he’s held various leadership titles in Asian organizations in and out of school. Joe also holds the position of President with the Cultural Alliance International (CAI), a non-profit dedicated to bringing cultural awareness to the Delaware Valley through events that help to promote and support cultural diversity. One of those being the Asian Festival (AsianFest) on Philadelphia’s historical Penn’s Landing.
Duane Lacsamana
Duane is a Business Relationship Manager for PNC Bank. He works hand in hand with small businesses to provide solutions to the five pillars of cash flow. He delivers results by expediting receivables, improving payables, managing excess cash, providing credit, and reporting information in the most efficient way.
Duane has a Bachelors in Business Administration majoring in Finance, Management and International business from Villanova University. During his time there, he interned for Hagen Resource International in Geneva, Switzerland and studied at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. He also has a passion for traveling. He spent over a month in Europe and has had several trips to the Caribbean and Asia.
Duane is active in various organizations in Center City and the Fairmount area. With colleagues and friends, he plays soccer, football, basketball and softball in the Philadelphia Sports and Social League and loves fantasy football, including co-commishing a league. He also holds a strong affiliation with other extreme activities such as snowboarding, wakeboarding, sky diving, and bungie jumping. He is involved with the Fairmount Association for Business (FAB), Young Professionals Network (YPN) and PNC's Grow Up Great Program. He joined the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP Philly) in 2010 and recently accepted the position of Assistant Vice President of the Small Business Committee. He will work with Vil Vongphrachanh to educate and promote entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Esther Lee
Esther Lee is currently a project manager at Chatham Financial Corporation, a global derivatives consulting firm. In this role, she improved the company's risk management accountability structure to reduce documentation risk by over 95%. Previous to her current role as project manager, Esther worked as a consultant, advising Opportunity Funds and Private Equity firms. As a consultant, Esther managed a foreign exchange spot program, executing foreign exchange trades ranging in notional from USD 1 million to USD 1 billion.
Outside of work, Esther serves as a Committee Person for the 5th Ward, 24th Division of the City of Philadelphia. She is also the young alumni representative for the Philadelphia chapter of her college alumni club.
Esther graduated summa cum laude from Wheaton College (IL) with a B.S. in Mathematics and Sociology. During her tenure at Wheaton, she was elected to serve one term as Student Body President.
Kristy Leong
Kristy Leong graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a double major in Economics and Biological Basis of Behavior. She currently works at a global interactive advertising agency in the Strategy and Analysis department. Prior to this, Kristy had 3 years of experience at a leading consumer packaged goods company as a sales analyst and planner for national market mover accounts. While there, she received a Leadership Award for promoting diversity in the workplace through monthly events that celebrated minority groups. When not NAAAPing or working, Kristy squeezes in time to tutor students in the Steppingstone Scholars program.
A dedicated NAAAP member since 2008, Kristy is very excited for her posts as VP of Collegiate Relations and Director of Marketing. Both roles fall directly in line with all her previous and current experience in student outreach and marketing. Her goal for Collegiate Relations is to develop future leaders of tomorrow by helping college students realize their potential and expand their professional skills. As Director of Marketing, her goal is to increase the awareness of NAAAP in the Tri-State area, connecting Asian professionals with each other to realize mutual success and achieve professional excellence.
Cindy Li
Cindy Li is an Account Underwriter for Travelers Insurance Co., a Fortune 500 Company, handling private and non-profit executive liability lines of insurance coverages. She graduated from Temple University with a double major in Risk Management and Insurance and Finance and with a minor in Legal Studies. Her passion to help college students began while she was attending Temple University and had continued on through her professional career.
While in college, Cindy served as Director of Professional Development for Gamma Iota Sigma, a student professional organization for Risk Management and Insurance major, and later served as the Vice President of Professional Development. Her roles in Professional Development included helping students to prepare their resumes via a template, coordinating mock interviews and interview workshops, and assembled resume books for over 200 students.
Her passion had crossed over to her professional life where she is currently a member of the University Relations Team for Travelers Insurance. In addition, she volunteers her time in Collegiate Relations for NAAAP Philadelphia and now serves as the Assistant Vice President of Collegiate Relations.

Lingan Nguyen
Lingan is a Sr. Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin focused on design, implementation and deployment of software for large scale programs. Along with 10 years of professional experience, Lingan holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Lehigh University and a M.S. in Information Science from Penn State. Prior to working at Lockheed Martin, Lingan held positions at Ikea North America and Accenture.
Lingan's experience with non-profits range from a board member of The Cancer Aid Society of the Philadelphia Area to Vice-President, National Representative, and Webmaster for NAAAP Philadelphia.
In his free time, Lingan enjoys golf, traveling, eating out and (most of all) relaxing. Born and rasied in Philadelphia, Lingan now currently resides in San Jose, CA.
Peter Phengvath
Peter Phengvath is currently a business consultant working for a small business. Peter has worked in the financial, restaurant, and sales industry for the last 15 years.
Prior to joining Naaap Philadelphia, Peter served as the Director of Corporate Sponsorship for the NAAAP National Administration team last year for the NAAAP National Convention in San Francisco, California. He was in charge of managing the entire sponsorship process from cold calling, support, and managing the various online sales software. The corporations that Peter developed numerous relationships with Comcast, Macy’s, Coca Cola, Raytheon, Motorola, and Aramark.
As the Vice President of Corporate Relations, Peter aims are to establish and build local relations ships with the private and public sector in the Philadelphia region. His focus will be developing workshops and events on leadership development and offer opportunities to network with various Human Resource professionals and Diversity Leaders in the Philadelphia region. Peter brings national corporate relations experience to the local level and is looking forward to growing the Philadelphia corporate relations unit.

Steven Suh
Steven Suh currently works for Shire Pharmaceuticals as a supply chain manager optimizing the inventory levels and distribution channels of one of Shire’s key corporate brands. He previously worked at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals as a supply chain planner for its Oncology portfolio and developed valuable experience managing some of AstraZeneca’s top contract customers. Steven graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Business Administration and specialization in Marketing.
Aside from NAAAP, Steven is actively involved as a Board member for the Main Line Chinese Cultural Center. With a mission to foster the understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture and heritages, the Main Line Chinese Culture has been thriving with 300+ students and has plans to expand beyond the Main Line area.
Fanny Tan
Fanny Tan studied psychology and music at the University of Rochester. In 2008, she graduated with a Master of Science in Inclusive Elementary Education. Fanny is a preschool teacher and school age program supervisor at the Chinatown Learning Center. As a teacher and program supervisor, Fanny has worked collaboratively to plan and implement different types of curriculum to support the varying needs of the wide range of students the center services. Currently, she is in the process of developing a leadership series to encourage the development of leadership skills in older students.
As a member of sNAAAP Dragons Toastmasters, Fanny has learned to become more comfortable speaking in front of an audience as well as event planning and organization skills. As the VP of Education, she looks forward to planning programs that promotes growth in members' public speaking and leadership skills.

Vil Vongphrachanh
Vil Vongphrachanh is the founder and CEO of FinanceMyEquipment.com, a company founded in 2008 that specializes in equipment financing across the U.S. In her role as an equipment finance consultant, Vil works closely with equipment vendors and manufacturers to assist their customers with financing their equipment.
Prior to her current role, Vil worked for Citizens Financial Group, Co-Activ Capital Partner, De Lage Landen Financial Services, and Tokai Financial Services. For 5 years, she worked alongside the “pioneers and experts” of her industry, giving her the confidence and knowledge to run her business. Vil is an expert in the Medical and Banking areas of her equipment financing industry. Her previous partnerships include Toshiba Medical, Abbott Laboratories, Beckman Coulter, Invacare, Sunrise Medical, Airsep, Citizens Bank (RI), East West Bank, Capital One, and Commerce Bank.
As the Vice President of Small Business Relations for 2010, Vil aims to set the foundation and precedent for the small business unit within NAAAP Philadelphia. Her focus will be to develop and provide entrepreneurs and business owners with high quality business education from accredited business experts.
Carol Wong
Carol Wong has been an advisory board member since NAAAP Philadelphia was founded in 2004. Carol is the Director and owner of the Chinatown Learning Center, a bilingual preschool and after school program that she founded 16 years ago. As Vice-President and Executive Board Member for the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation (PCDC), Carol addresses affordable housing and community development issues in Chinatown. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Asian American Women's Coalition (AAWC), which promotes the advancement of Asian American women through leadership and mutual support. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia SUNS, a youth basketball and Lion Dance organization, and On Lok House, a senior housing and community center. Carol proudly serves on the Board for the Delaware Valley Association for the Education of Young Children (DVAEYC). She is also a member of Soroptomist International of Indian Rock, an organization focused on making a difference for women through volunteer service.
Jenny Wong
Jenny Wong has been a member of NAAAP-Philadelphia for several years and has served in the capacity of Advisory Board member for the past two years. She was the past President of the Asian American Women's Coalition (2004-2005) and now serves as a Board member. She has served as the Secretary of OCA-Greater Philadelphia (Organization of Chinese Americans) for the past four years. Jenny is particularly interested in for and non-profit organizations that improve the lives of Asian Americans living in the greater Philadelphia area. She has been working at a large pharmaceutical company (#5 in volume) for the past 11 years and lives in PA.
Lauren Woo
Lauren Woo has been an active member of NAAAP for 10 years. While in Boston, she served as PR and Marketing Chair, a Board Member and President for the Boston Chapter. Currently, she is proud to serve on the Board of NAAAP Philadelphia Chapter and the National Board of Directors serving on its Governance Committee.
Although she spent over 15 years in the finance industry, including most recently as head of SEI Global Fixed Income Management’s credit strategy and research, and previously as a senior analyst with John Hancock Money Market Group and with Liberty Mutual Group’s Strategy and Planning Group for Corporate Real Estate and Administration, Ms. Woo is now pursuing her other passions and divides her time between several business endeavors and writing. Ms. Woo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and her MBA from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
Lillian Woo
Lillian Woo studied Biology and Chinese language at the Pennsylvania State University. She then pursued her studies at Drexel University earning her Masters of Health Science and Physician Assistant Degree in 2007. She now works as a pediatric physician assistant in the greater Philadelphia area.
Lillian joined sNAAAP Dragons Toastmasters in order to master her skills of public speaking as well as to help others do the same. As president of this organization, she has a direction and vision for the club - one of which is to implement programs that will help others reach their full potential into becoming the great speaker and leader they are meant to be.

Min Yoo
Min Yoo attended her first NAAAP Philly Event in 2006 and has since been a supporter and fan of it’s mission statement. Through the years, she attended both Seattle (2006) and Atlanta (2007) NAAAP National Conventions and has seen Philadelphia’s Venture grow into a Chapter. It is a rewarding experience for her to see the non-profit organization making leaders in the community and being apart of this effective change and growth. She has participated and planned several events with the professional development committee and looks forward to members continuing to benefit from the programs and innovative ideas and events that enhance, empower, and advance the success of the individual and the greater good of the group.
Jiate Zhang
Jiate's role as the AVP of Corporate Relations is to assist in establishing relationships with corporate partners, as well as assist creating programs focused on professional and leadership growth for the NAAAP Philadelphia membership. He is looking forward to helping the membership find opportunities for growth and fulfillment in their careers.
Jiate currently works in the strategic brand finance group at Bimbo Bakeries USA. At BBU, he also volunteers in the Junior Achievements program, teaching high school students business and entrepreneurship skills. His previous experience includes working in the selective Financial Leadership Development Program at Johnson & Johnson. He also manages his own consulting business, helping small business owners develop growth strategies through effective financial management and analysis. His unique experiences of working with small business owners all the way up to senior corporate leaders enables him to effectively work with partners at various levels of position and function.
Jiate graduated from Saint Joseph's University with a degree in Finance and a minor in Philosophy. He relaxes by spending time with good people, eating good food, drinking good beer, and listening to good music, preferably all at the same time.

Tom’s vision for NAAAP Philadelphia is promoting inclusion and innovation. "No matter who you are, you're going to have to work with people who are different from you. George Ho
George is originally from Central NJ, doing his graduate and undergraduate work at Rutgers University with a Master's Degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. He now works as a research scientist at Johnson & Johnson in their rigorous Drug Discovery program. Being new to the Philadelphia Area, George joined NAAAP in early 2008 seeking to build a rich diverse network of Asian peers. He quickly became involved with the Sports & Social committee and began organizing and coordinating sporting and social events. This gave members a chance to interact and network in a less formal atmosphere and generated opportunities for members to create memorable experiences together. His play hard, work hard style and charmingly disarming attitude makes him quite a character on the team. As events coordinator, George will interface with all the VPs to ensure everyone delivers exciting new programs and events. He will also oversee the development and employment of online tools, ie Facebook and Meetup. In his off time, George enjoys snowboarding, vegetating with Video Games, eating like a crazed hyena, and talking/typing about himself.
Hyun Kim
Hyun is an Account Manager at StarCite, Inc. In 2004, Hyun was recruited to join the Philadelphia chapter of National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP). In 2005, she was asked to join the Board and serve as the Membership Committee Chair. In 2006, Hyun co-chaired the NAAAP National Retreat held in Philadelphia. In 2008, Hyun served as the National Representative of NAAAP Philadelphia, and in 2009, she served as the Vice President of Corporate Relations. Currently, Hyun serves as the Executive Vice President of NAAAP Philadelphia.
Hyun has also served on the boards of: Asian American Women’s Coalition (AAWC) from 2004 – 2008, Asian Arts Initiative (AAI) from 2006 – 2007, Young Friends of the Philadelphia Museum of Art from 2006 - 2008, and Philadelphia Cultural Fund from 2007 - now.
Hyun has always volunteered with her church growing up and often organizes events and community efforts at her church. She has participated in Habitat for Humanity in South Korea in summer of 2001 and in New Orleans, LA in summer of 2008. In 2006, Hyun was an Emerging Leader Finalist for eWomenNetwork Foundation.
Joseph Kim
Joe is a full time REALTOR® in the state of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In PA, he hangs his license at Century 21 Target Realty, which specializes in the Asian market throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area with offices located in South Philly and Northeast Philly. He is with Century 21 Alliance in the Cherry Hill office. C21 Alliance has eleven offices dispersed throughout South Jersey. Joe started in his career as a business broker and loan officer. With this string of experience, he is able to offer his clients a broad range of service and provides valuable advice and insight into the residential and commercial markets.
In 2004, Joe co-founded the National Association of Asian American Professionals- Philadelphia (NAAAP Philly) and currently serves as Board Member. His dedication to the Asian community is evident in his continuous involvement since high school as a volunteer tutor to Korean immigrant students in English and Math. Since then, he’s held various leadership titles in Asian organizations in and out of school. Joe also holds the position of President with the Cultural Alliance International (CAI), a non-profit dedicated to bringing cultural awareness to the Delaware Valley through events that help to promote and support cultural diversity. One of those being the Asian Festival (AsianFest) on Philadelphia’s historical Penn’s Landing.
Duane Lacsamana
Duane is a Business Relationship Manager for PNC Bank. He works hand in hand with small businesses to provide solutions to the five pillars of cash flow. He delivers results by expediting receivables, improving payables, managing excess cash, providing credit, and reporting information in the most efficient way.
Duane has a Bachelors in Business Administration majoring in Finance, Management and International business from Villanova University. During his time there, he interned for Hagen Resource International in Geneva, Switzerland and studied at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. He also has a passion for traveling. He spent over a month in Europe and has had several trips to the Caribbean and Asia.
Duane is active in various organizations in Center City and the Fairmount area. With colleagues and friends, he plays soccer, football, basketball and softball in the Philadelphia Sports and Social League and loves fantasy football, including co-commishing a league. He also holds a strong affiliation with other extreme activities such as snowboarding, wakeboarding, sky diving, and bungie jumping. He is involved with the Fairmount Association for Business (FAB), Young Professionals Network (YPN) and PNC's Grow Up Great Program. He joined the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP Philly) in 2010 and recently accepted the position of Assistant Vice President of the Small Business Committee. He will work with Vil Vongphrachanh to educate and promote entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Esther Lee
Esther Lee is currently a project manager at Chatham Financial Corporation, a global derivatives consulting firm. In this role, she improved the company's risk management accountability structure to reduce documentation risk by over 95%. Previous to her current role as project manager, Esther worked as a consultant, advising Opportunity Funds and Private Equity firms. As a consultant, Esther managed a foreign exchange spot program, executing foreign exchange trades ranging in notional from USD 1 million to USD 1 billion.
Outside of work, Esther serves as a Committee Person for the 5th Ward, 24th Division of the City of Philadelphia. She is also the young alumni representative for the Philadelphia chapter of her college alumni club.
Esther graduated summa cum laude from Wheaton College (IL) with a B.S. in Mathematics and Sociology. During her tenure at Wheaton, she was elected to serve one term as Student Body President.
Kristy Leong
Kristy Leong graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a double major in Economics and Biological Basis of Behavior. She currently works at a global interactive advertising agency in the Strategy and Analysis department. Prior to this, Kristy had 3 years of experience at a leading consumer packaged goods company as a sales analyst and planner for national market mover accounts. While there, she received a Leadership Award for promoting diversity in the workplace through monthly events that celebrated minority groups. When not NAAAPing or working, Kristy squeezes in time to tutor students in the Steppingstone Scholars program.
A dedicated NAAAP member since 2008, Kristy is very excited for her posts as VP of Collegiate Relations and Director of Marketing. Both roles fall directly in line with all her previous and current experience in student outreach and marketing. Her goal for Collegiate Relations is to develop future leaders of tomorrow by helping college students realize their potential and expand their professional skills. As Director of Marketing, her goal is to increase the awareness of NAAAP in the Tri-State area, connecting Asian professionals with each other to realize mutual success and achieve professional excellence.
Cindy Li
Cindy Li is an Account Underwriter for Travelers Insurance Co., a Fortune 500 Company, handling private and non-profit executive liability lines of insurance coverages. She graduated from Temple University with a double major in Risk Management and Insurance and Finance and with a minor in Legal Studies. Her passion to help college students began while she was attending Temple University and had continued on through her professional career.
While in college, Cindy served as Director of Professional Development for Gamma Iota Sigma, a student professional organization for Risk Management and Insurance major, and later served as the Vice President of Professional Development. Her roles in Professional Development included helping students to prepare their resumes via a template, coordinating mock interviews and interview workshops, and assembled resume books for over 200 students.
Her passion had crossed over to her professional life where she is currently a member of the University Relations Team for Travelers Insurance. In addition, she volunteers her time in Collegiate Relations for NAAAP Philadelphia and now serves as the Assistant Vice President of Collegiate Relations.

Lingan Nguyen
Lingan is a Sr. Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin focused on design, implementation and deployment of software for large scale programs. Along with 10 years of professional experience, Lingan holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Lehigh University and a M.S. in Information Science from Penn State. Prior to working at Lockheed Martin, Lingan held positions at Ikea North America and Accenture.
Lingan's experience with non-profits range from a board member of The Cancer Aid Society of the Philadelphia Area to Vice-President, National Representative, and Webmaster for NAAAP Philadelphia.
In his free time, Lingan enjoys golf, traveling, eating out and (most of all) relaxing. Born and rasied in Philadelphia, Lingan now currently resides in San Jose, CA.
Peter Phengvath
Peter Phengvath is currently a business consultant working for a small business. Peter has worked in the financial, restaurant, and sales industry for the last 15 years.
Prior to joining Naaap Philadelphia, Peter served as the Director of Corporate Sponsorship for the NAAAP National Administration team last year for the NAAAP National Convention in San Francisco, California. He was in charge of managing the entire sponsorship process from cold calling, support, and managing the various online sales software. The corporations that Peter developed numerous relationships with Comcast, Macy’s, Coca Cola, Raytheon, Motorola, and Aramark.
As the Vice President of Corporate Relations, Peter aims are to establish and build local relations ships with the private and public sector in the Philadelphia region. His focus will be developing workshops and events on leadership development and offer opportunities to network with various Human Resource professionals and Diversity Leaders in the Philadelphia region. Peter brings national corporate relations experience to the local level and is looking forward to growing the Philadelphia corporate relations unit.

Steven Suh
Steven Suh currently works for Shire Pharmaceuticals as a supply chain manager optimizing the inventory levels and distribution channels of one of Shire’s key corporate brands. He previously worked at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals as a supply chain planner for its Oncology portfolio and developed valuable experience managing some of AstraZeneca’s top contract customers. Steven graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Business Administration and specialization in Marketing.
Aside from NAAAP, Steven is actively involved as a Board member for the Main Line Chinese Cultural Center. With a mission to foster the understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture and heritages, the Main Line Chinese Culture has been thriving with 300+ students and has plans to expand beyond the Main Line area.
Fanny Tan
Fanny Tan studied psychology and music at the University of Rochester. In 2008, she graduated with a Master of Science in Inclusive Elementary Education. Fanny is a preschool teacher and school age program supervisor at the Chinatown Learning Center. As a teacher and program supervisor, Fanny has worked collaboratively to plan and implement different types of curriculum to support the varying needs of the wide range of students the center services. Currently, she is in the process of developing a leadership series to encourage the development of leadership skills in older students.
As a member of sNAAAP Dragons Toastmasters, Fanny has learned to become more comfortable speaking in front of an audience as well as event planning and organization skills. As the VP of Education, she looks forward to planning programs that promotes growth in members' public speaking and leadership skills.

Vil Vongphrachanh
Vil Vongphrachanh is the founder and CEO of FinanceMyEquipment.com, a company founded in 2008 that specializes in equipment financing across the U.S. In her role as an equipment finance consultant, Vil works closely with equipment vendors and manufacturers to assist their customers with financing their equipment.
Prior to her current role, Vil worked for Citizens Financial Group, Co-Activ Capital Partner, De Lage Landen Financial Services, and Tokai Financial Services. For 5 years, she worked alongside the “pioneers and experts” of her industry, giving her the confidence and knowledge to run her business. Vil is an expert in the Medical and Banking areas of her equipment financing industry. Her previous partnerships include Toshiba Medical, Abbott Laboratories, Beckman Coulter, Invacare, Sunrise Medical, Airsep, Citizens Bank (RI), East West Bank, Capital One, and Commerce Bank.
As the Vice President of Small Business Relations for 2010, Vil aims to set the foundation and precedent for the small business unit within NAAAP Philadelphia. Her focus will be to develop and provide entrepreneurs and business owners with high quality business education from accredited business experts.
Carol Wong
Carol Wong has been an advisory board member since NAAAP Philadelphia was founded in 2004. Carol is the Director and owner of the Chinatown Learning Center, a bilingual preschool and after school program that she founded 16 years ago. As Vice-President and Executive Board Member for the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation (PCDC), Carol addresses affordable housing and community development issues in Chinatown. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Asian American Women's Coalition (AAWC), which promotes the advancement of Asian American women through leadership and mutual support. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia SUNS, a youth basketball and Lion Dance organization, and On Lok House, a senior housing and community center. Carol proudly serves on the Board for the Delaware Valley Association for the Education of Young Children (DVAEYC). She is also a member of Soroptomist International of Indian Rock, an organization focused on making a difference for women through volunteer service.
Jenny Wong
Jenny Wong has been a member of NAAAP-Philadelphia for several years and has served in the capacity of Advisory Board member for the past two years. She was the past President of the Asian American Women's Coalition (2004-2005) and now serves as a Board member. She has served as the Secretary of OCA-Greater Philadelphia (Organization of Chinese Americans) for the past four years. Jenny is particularly interested in for and non-profit organizations that improve the lives of Asian Americans living in the greater Philadelphia area. She has been working at a large pharmaceutical company (#5 in volume) for the past 11 years and lives in PA.
Lauren Woo
Lauren Woo has been an active member of NAAAP for 10 years. While in Boston, she served as PR and Marketing Chair, a Board Member and President for the Boston Chapter. Currently, she is proud to serve on the Board of NAAAP Philadelphia Chapter and the National Board of Directors serving on its Governance Committee.
Although she spent over 15 years in the finance industry, including most recently as head of SEI Global Fixed Income Management’s credit strategy and research, and previously as a senior analyst with John Hancock Money Market Group and with Liberty Mutual Group’s Strategy and Planning Group for Corporate Real Estate and Administration, Ms. Woo is now pursuing her other passions and divides her time between several business endeavors and writing. Ms. Woo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and her MBA from Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
Lillian Woo
Lillian Woo studied Biology and Chinese language at the Pennsylvania State University. She then pursued her studies at Drexel University earning her Masters of Health Science and Physician Assistant Degree in 2007. She now works as a pediatric physician assistant in the greater Philadelphia area.
Lillian joined sNAAAP Dragons Toastmasters in order to master her skills of public speaking as well as to help others do the same. As president of this organization, she has a direction and vision for the club - one of which is to implement programs that will help others reach their full potential into becoming the great speaker and leader they are meant to be.

Min Yoo
Min Yoo attended her first NAAAP Philly Event in 2006 and has since been a supporter and fan of it’s mission statement. Through the years, she attended both Seattle (2006) and Atlanta (2007) NAAAP National Conventions and has seen Philadelphia’s Venture grow into a Chapter. It is a rewarding experience for her to see the non-profit organization making leaders in the community and being apart of this effective change and growth. She has participated and planned several events with the professional development committee and looks forward to members continuing to benefit from the programs and innovative ideas and events that enhance, empower, and advance the success of the individual and the greater good of the group.
Jiate Zhang
Jiate's role as the AVP of Corporate Relations is to assist in establishing relationships with corporate partners, as well as assist creating programs focused on professional and leadership growth for the NAAAP Philadelphia membership. He is looking forward to helping the membership find opportunities for growth and fulfillment in their careers.
Jiate currently works in the strategic brand finance group at Bimbo Bakeries USA. At BBU, he also volunteers in the Junior Achievements program, teaching high school students business and entrepreneurship skills. His previous experience includes working in the selective Financial Leadership Development Program at Johnson & Johnson. He also manages his own consulting business, helping small business owners develop growth strategies through effective financial management and analysis. His unique experiences of working with small business owners all the way up to senior corporate leaders enables him to effectively work with partners at various levels of position and function.
Jiate graduated from Saint Joseph's University with a degree in Finance and a minor in Philosophy. He relaxes by spending time with good people, eating good food, drinking good beer, and listening to good music, preferably all at the same time.
